A large number of abstracts was received: 966. All abstracts were peer-reviewed by at least four experts worldwide, and the results of these reviews were aggregated and ranked to form the basis of the abstract selection. Given the time constraints only 598 were accepted for oral presentation, 288 for poster presentation and 80 were rejected. Actual numbers to be accommodated in the 6 parallel sessions will be defined after the authors registration due by April 28, 2024. Conference registration requires payment at the time of registration and is handled through the conference website under the registration tab.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is significantly expanding and enhancing the poster sessions for the ICCE 2024 in Rome. The posters will be visible for a full day near the conference exhibition area, authors will be permitted to give a flash oral presentation (3-5 min) during special morning sessions, and also the afternoon poster sessions will not conflict with the parallel oral sessions. Poster sessions are planned for 4 of the 5 days.
The ICCE policy allows only presentations given at the conference to be included in the final proceedings. Only ONE paper (oral or poster) can be presented at the conference.

The accepted 2-page abstract will be provided to all conference attendees. No final extended abstracts are requested. The 2-page abstract can also be updated and resubmitted to the secretariat.

No specific template is required for the slide preparation.

Both oral and poster presented papers can be published as full 12-page papers in the final proceedings (https://journals.tdl.org/ICCE/) after the conference following future instructions. Authors are encouraged to send also a pdf copy of their presentation to be included in the proceedings.
